Chidori-ga-fuchi

There are numerous of cherry blossom trees on this 700-meter-long promenade that stretches along the moat surrounding the Imperial Palace.
It is also recommended for viewing cherry blossoms in the evening, as the reflection of the illuminated cherry trees on the water is a breath-taking sight.

Onshi Hakone Koen Park

Onshi-Hakone-Koen Park is renowned for its captivating scenery, featuring the serene Lake Ashinoko, the majestic Mount Fuji, and the encircling mountain vistas that grace its grounds.

  • Service hours: 7:00-21:00 (Last Entry 19:00)

  • Peak blooming season: Mid April to Mid May

Takaosan (Mt. Takao)

At Mt. Takao, wild cherry trees, weeping cherry trees, and double flowered cherry trees are all in bloom until around the middle of April.

  • Access: 2176 Takaomachi, Hachioji, Tokyo
  • Keio Line Takaosanguchi St Cable car will be available to Kiyotaki St.
  • Round trip: Adult 930 yen / Child 460 yen
  • Peak blooming season: Early April to Late April

Nikko Lake Chuzenji

At an altitude of about 1,300m, the cherry blossoms here are usually at their best during the first half of May.
You can also take a leisurely ride and enjoy the view from the lake.
The famous Kegon Falls is only a 10-minute walk from the area.

  • Access: Chuuguushi, Nikko City, Tochigi
  • 50 minutes from Nikko Station or Tobu-Nikko Station on buses bound for Chuzenji Onsen/Yumoto Onsen.
  • Peak blooming season: Early May

Shinjuku Gyoen

This garden consists of three distinct styles: French floral, Victorian English landscaping, and a traditional Japanese garden.
A traditional Japanese tea house can also be found within the garden.
